This conference honors the career of Linda Colley, Shelby M.C. Davis 1958 Professor of History at Princeton University, by bringing together many of her former students with colleagues in the historical profession who have benefited from her work. It is meant to celebrate Linda’s incisive impact on the fields of British, imperial, and global history, as measured through her award-winning publications. It also marks our appreciation of her personal qualities as an advisor and as a colleague: her dedication, thoughtfulness, interest, and support, expressed in a wide variety of ways over the past four decades.
